Overview

Forget the stages and experience the cueca on the street! This isn’t a conventional sightseeing tour; it’s an immersion in the rhythm that makes Santiago come alive. We invite you to feel the pulse of the fierce, urban cueca—the kind danced in the neighborhoods and sung in the taverns—while hanging out with real musicians and dancers.

Your journey through tradition and celebration:

• First Steps: We’ll start at an iconic venue with a dynamic class. You’ll learn the floreo, the zapateo, and how to use the handkerchief in an intimate setting without any pressure

• Journey to the Heart of the Neighborhood: We’ll experience the Santiago way by taking the Metro—one of the best public transportation systems in the Americas—to the vibrant Patronato neighborhood

• The Cathedral of the Cueca: We’ll enter the sanctuary of the “rueda,” where singers and dancers come together spontaneously. There are no scripts here, just passion and tradition

• A Taste of Chile: While soaking up the atmosphere, we’ll enjoy a house-made “arregladito” and some delicious sopaipillas with pebre (creole sauce).

Are you ready to take your first steps and get over your fear of the handkerchief?
