Exploring the North: Santander, Santillana del Mar and Comillas
Overview
The first stop is the Neocave of Altamira, an exact reproduction of the original cave, known as the Sistine Chapel of cave art. Through its impressive Paleolithic paintings and museum, you will learn how our ancestors lived thousands of years ago.
We continue to Santillana del Mar, one of the best preserved medieval villages in Spain. Its cobblestone streets, emblazoned houses and historic atmosphere lead to the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana, a jewel of Cantabrian Romanesque architecture. During your free time you can take a leisurely stroll and enjoy typical products such as local cheeses, sobaos pasiegos, quesadas or anchovies, as well as visit local stores.
The excursion ends in Comillas, an elegant coastal town with magnificent views of the Cantabrian Sea. It stands out for its modernist architecture, with essential visits such as Gaudí's El Capricho, the Sobrellano Palace and the Pontifical University. An ideal tour to get to know some of the most emblematic places of Cantabria in a comfortable and complete way.

Things to note
- The visit is free, but we will provide information to visit places of tourist interest. At certain destinations, the assistants will take you on a tour of the most important places and you can accompany them if you wish; they are not local tour guides.
- We recommend that you bring your own food to make the most of your time.
- To enjoy the Cantabrian Sea, we recommend that our travel companions bring their swimsuits, towels and everything they need for the trip.
- Respect the environment and collect the garbage generated before leaving each place.
- Punctuality. Boarding the bus is on a first-come, first-served basis, priority is given to families with children. We are not responsible if the bus departs without you or your group arriving late to the meeting points. If this happens, there is no right to claim or refund.
- A private WhatsApp group of the trip will be created, which will serve as communication. It will be created the day before departure. Verify that the WhatsApp number entered in the purchase is correct. If it is an international number, the country code must be added.
- It is not allowed to eat or drink inside the bus.
- Walking in the aisles of the bus is not allowed and seat belts are mandatory on all bus routes.
- Nothing of value may be left on the bus; we are not responsible for any lost items.
