Overview
Choose your level of adventure:
• Beginner Beach Clinic: Your safety is our priority. Learn ocean safety, paddling efficiency, and the "pop-up" technique on the sand before hitting the water. Our instructors stay by your side in the whitewater to ensure you glide across the ocean from your very first session.
• Intermediate & Expert Coaching: Don't waste time on the basics. Experience Pro Guidance as we take you to the best peaks based on the day’s swell. Improve your wave reading, perfect your cutbacks and re-entries, and master strategic positioning in the lineup.
• Tide-Synced Training: We don't follow a rigid clock; we follow the ocean. To ensure the best conditions, all lesson times are coordinated according to the tides.
This activity includes:
- Jaco Beach Costa Rica
- surfboard
- Fins: The "fins" under the board that provide stability and direction
- Paraffin (Wax): Wax that is applied to the surface of the board so that the feet do not slip.
- Leash (Safety Cord): The elastic cord that connects the surfer's ankle to the board. It is vital to prevent losing the board after a fall and for the safety of other surfers.

How to get there from San José
By Uber: Simply share the address with the Uber driver.
By Bus: Buses from Transportes Jacó depart regularly from Terminal 7-10 in San José. Once at the Jacó bus terminal, you can take a taxi (5 minutes) or walk to the beach.
By Car: Take Route 27 towards Caldera and then turn onto the Costanera Sur (Route 34), following the signs to Jacó. The trip takes approximately 90 minutes. Once on Jacó's main street (Avenida Pastor Díaz), turn right towards the beach.
Things to note
Taxes of $50 USD.
The class schedule needs to be coordinated with the surf instructor because it depends heavily on the tide. In fact, the class can be held in the morning, at midday, or in the afternoon. The instructor will contact you via WhatsApp. So, it's important to double-check that you provided a number where you can receive WhatsApp messages.
We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your scheduled time to make the most of every minute in the water
