Join a fun 2-hour walking tour through Rotterdam and discover the city in a simple, easy-going way. We start in the city centre and walk through wide streets, modern buildings, and lively areas that show how Rotterdam became one of the most unique cities in Europe.
You’ll see Rotterdam Centraal station, Lijnbaan, a busy pedestrian shopping street, Markthal, a huge indoor market with amazing art on the ceiling and lots of food stalls to explore.
We also head to Wijnhaven, a modern harbour area with canals, bridges, and new buildings that show the city’s connection to water and its modern growth. Of course, we also visit the famous Cube Houses, one of Rotterdam’s most unusual and fun sights, and pass by the Laurenskerk, the only old building left from before the war, standing in the middle of the modern city.
Along the way, you’ll hear stories about Rotterdam’s history, how it was rebuilt after heavy damage, and how it became a city known for architecture and new ideas.
This tour is slow and relaxed, with plenty of time to look around, take photos, and enjoy the city at your own pace.
