Overview
Join an extended walking tour through Rotterdam and discover the city in an easy-going way. This longer route gives you more time to explore not only the city centre, but also the waterfront and the modern skyline across the river.
You will see Rotterdam Centraal station; Lijnbaan, a lively pedestrian street full of shops. We will visit the Laurenskerk, the only remaining medieval building; impressive Markthal with its colorful ceiling and food stalls.
Next, we explore the area around the Cube Houses and walk along the old harbour and Wijnhaven. From here, we make our way toward the iconic Erasmus Bridge, one of the most famous landmarks in the city.
We will arrive at Hotel New York, a historic building that was once the departure point for people emigrating to America. Also, we look at the Fenix Museum, which tells the powerful story of migration and Rotterdam’s connection to the rest of the world; we will also see Kop van Zuid and other sights.
Along the way, you’ll hear easy stories about Rotterdam’s fascinating past and present. The tour is relaxed, with plenty of time to look around, take photos, and enjoy the city at your own pace.
