Surroundings of Vatican Small Group Tour
Overview
The group will have approximately 15 participants so that we can enjoy a more personalized experience.
We will start in Piazza di Ponte Sant´Angelo. From there, we'll cross the Tiber River toward Castel Sant'Angelo. We will admire the Sant'Angelo bridge and its marble angels that narrate the Passion of Christ. We will stop at Castel Sant'Angelo. We will appreciate the views of the Tiber River and its bridges. We will walk along Via della Conciliazione towards the Vatican. We will pass under the Passeto di Borgo, the secret passage that saved the Borgias and the Medici. We will peek at the tower of the Vatican Bank, which is guarded by the Swiss Guard. We will conclude in St. Peter's Square, where we will contemplate St. Peter's Basilica, its Egyptian obelisk, and its monumental fountains.
