Overview of the tour in Pelling

Sanghachoeling Monastery is the oldest Buddhist monastery in Sikkim and in India. Constructed in 1697, the monastery lies on top of a hill. The monastery offers excellent view of the nearby areas. The hike takes you through the unpaved road all the way upto the monastery and should take no more than 45-50 mins to reach the top.

Hotel Kabur, Pelling

On arrival

Hotel Kabur is the first hotel when you come to Pelling from Geyzing. Upper Pelling is a pretty small place so it's hard to miss this place.

Things to note

Carry a litre of bottled water per person for the hike. The hike is uphill with medium gradient but the road is n ot paved, so please make sure you have decent boots for the hike.
