Guided Tour - Cathedral of Mallorca
Overview of the tour in Palma de Mallorca
First time in Mallorca and don’t know where to start?
We will take you on a journey through more than 2000 years of history, from the arrival of the Romans before Christ to the incursions of the northern European tribes, as well as the long period of Muslim rule and the famous conquest by the Crown of Aragon. We will also explain details of the local architecture and the development of a walled city over the centuries until the destruction of the walled enclosure and the opening to the outside world during the 20th century.
We will reveal to you the most remarkable aspects of the Cathedral inside and out skipping the line. A project that lasted almost 4 centuries until its completion but which continued to be in constant transformation inside. Its excellent location, the beauty of its design, the different artistic styles that show us its chapels, the reformation of the famous Catalan architect of the Sagrada Família: Antoni Gaudí and the most recent changes of 2007 by the painter and sculptor Miquel Barceló make this place an unforgettable postcard.
