Overview of the tour in Palma de Mallorca

We start our route in one of the bastions that are still standing, the bastion of San Pedro.

We will pass in front of the old Palma fish market, a 15th-century building built in a strategic location next to the walls of Palma and the port. Later, we will see the gardens of the King, a medieval Andalusian-style orchard, and the cathedral of Santa María de Mallorca. Did you know that Roman ruins and the remains of a mosque have been found in this area? We will tell you how the city has developed around the cathedral.

We will travel to the Renaissance to discover the remodeling works that were undertaken on the walls of the Middle Ages. To verify this, we will see the Portella, another of the accesses that have survived intact to this day. Near here, we will come across the residence of Comte Mal, recognizable by its tower. They say that the devil himself was involved in its construction!

The walled Palma free tour will take us to the bastion of the Prince, which once served to defend the eastern part of the walls. We will also see the towers of Gumara and the constructions of Berber origin that were later ceded to the Templar Order.
