Oaxaca: Living Culture and Local Knowledge
Overview
We will start at the Zócalo, the heart of the social and political life of the city. From there we will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, one of the most important temples in Oaxaca, and continue to the Temple of Santo Domingo, considered a masterpiece of Mexican baroque. Nearby we will stop at the Institute of Graphic Arts of Oaxaca (IAGO), founded by Francisco Toledo, a cozy space where you can appreciate the strong graphic tradition of the city. The tour will also include cultural centers such as the San Pablo Cultural Center and the Macedonio Alcalá Theater, architectural icons that combine tradition and art.
We will conclude at the Guelaguetza Auditorium, stage of Oaxaca's most emblematic festival and symbol of its identity. An itinerary designed to understand the history of Oaxaca through its main monuments and explore all that this extraordinary city has to offer.
