Overview
We begin the route from the historic Porta San Gennaro, the oldest gate in the city and the entry point to one of Naples' most vibrant neighborhoods. We enter the Rione Sanità, known for its strong identity, popular history and daily life, passing through the bustling Vergini market, where tradition and color mingle in every corner.
During the walk we will visit the impressive Palazzo dello Spagnolo, a jewel of Neapolitan Baroque architecture, famous for its spectacular staircase and unique elegance. In the heart of the neighborhood we will stop to taste the famous tarallo napoletano, one of the most traditional flavors of local gastronomy.
The tour continues to Naples Cathedral (Duomo), home to the Chapel of San Gennaro, dedicated to the city's patron saint and a symbol of deep Neapolitan devotion.
The experience is completed with a walk among the city's most representative urban art, admiring Jorit's San Gennaro mural, an iconic work of contemporary street art, and ending in front of Banksy's famous mural, the artist's only one in Italy.
