Overview
On this guided electric bike tour with a bilingual guide, you’ll get the best possible glimpse of the historic city of Naples—its squares, castles, and imposing monuments—as well as its history, culture, and vibrant colors.
We’ll set off from Spaccanapoli, in the heart of the historic center, passing through Piazza del Gesù to reach the city’s main squares and the waterfront.
We’ll make brief stops for explanations in Piazza del Municipio, home to Castel Nuovo (the 13th-century Maschio Angioino); then we’ll head toward the grand Piazza del Plebiscito to admire the Royal Palace and the Royal Theater of San Carlo.
We’ll then head toward the sea and cycle safely along the bike path to Borgo Marinaro, home to the city’s oldest castle, Castel dell’Ovo (12th century), as well as the original site where the city (Partenope) was founded by Greek colonists. We’ll hear the legends associated with the fortress, such as the myth of the siren Partenope and Virgil’s egg.
We’ll then ride along the magnificent coastline of the Gulf of Naples against the stunning backdrop of Mount Vesuvius and the islands (Capri, Ischia, and Procida), before heading up to the Posillipo hill and finally beginning our return journey.
