Rione Sanità is one of the most striking working-class neighborhoods in Naples! It encompasses beautiful 18th-century architecture, street art by international artists, markets, sacred and profane, art workshops, and secret gardens. There really is everything!
We will walk through its main street, where history, traditions and popular culture will be narrated, with a close look at all that is also urban redevelopment and social redemption of the entire neighborhood.
We will visit:
- Porta San Gennaro
- Palace of the Spagnuolo
- Borgo dei Vergini
- Totò, Troisi and De Filippo murals. Totò's birthplace
- San Felice Palace
- Genny Ceserano memorial statue
- Basilica Santa Maria della Sanità and Catacombs of San Gaudioso (visit not included in the tour price)
- Sanità Bridge and Elevator
This tour goes outside the classic mass tourism, full of anecdotes and stories of people who have lived in these places and seen them change and evolve. These are authentic and personalized experiences!
