Hi! We’re the team at Around With a Local, true Neapolitans through and through. With our tour leaders, you’ll explore the Rione Sanità, one of Naples’ most fascinating neighborhoods: a journey through the sacred and the profane, noble palaces, street art, and deep-rooted traditions.
Our goal isn’t just to tell you about the past, but to help you understand modern Naples through urban regeneration and the character of its residents. You’ll discover how the community has transformed old stereotypes and vulnerabilities into resilience, creativity, and pure energy.
In about 2–3 hours, we’ll visit:
- Porta San Gennaro
- Palazzo dello Spagnuolo and Palazzo San Felice
- The murals of Totò, Troisi, and De Filippo
- Piazza Sanità and the statue of Genny Cesarano
- Basilica of Santa Maria della Sanità (San Gaudioso Catacombs NOT included)
- Chiesa Blu dei Cristallini
In addition to the excitement, this will be the perfect orientation: we’ll give you practical advice on how to get around, optimize your time and budget, and avoid tourist traps, while pointing out where to enjoy the true specialties of Sanità. We look forward to helping you experience the truest and most authentic Naples!
