Ngong Hills Hiking Free Tour

Overview of the tour in Nairobi

The meeting will take place in the Nairobi CBD at Kenya Cinema early in the morning to enable us to get to the Hills in good time.

We will then proceed to the bus stop at Railways to take a bus all the way to Ngong Town.

Arrival, we will need to take an Uber cab to the foot of the Hill in preparation for the hike.

The estimated time to do our hike is about 4 hours if we do 3 to 4 hills.

The entire 7 hills will require close to seven hours and that is a to and fro Journey.

Alternatively, we can do one way and complete the 7 hills but now get back from the other side of Rongai town, this is subject to a discussion on how the visitors will want it to be.

On arrival

The meeting point will be at Kenya Cinema Plaza, Moi Avenue.

After we get to the foot of the hill, the tour directions are quite straightforward.
There is a walking trail along the tops of the Ngong Hills and this is the route we will follow straight to the other side of the hill but if we are doing a number of hills, we will just turn back along the trail.

Things to note

Carry lots of Drinking water plus an energy drink or soda
Nice hiking shoes and clothes
Carry your camera or smartphone to capture the best moments
Carry extra cash to buy a hiking stick if in need.
Please carry a face mask as the hills are sometimes dusty at the foot before we get to the hilltop, You can also carry your shades in case we have sunny days.
