Nai Nami - Our Streets Our Stories Walking Tour
Overview of the tour in Nairobi
Nai Nami is an inspirational storytelling tour in the heart of Nairobi in the Downtown (in the city center - not slum!). Your guides are school dropouts and former street children who raised themselves from an early age in those streets.
During a 3-hour walking tour in the city center, your personal guides will make you experience their so-called former “home” and share their captivating life stories with a deep connection to the places you will visit. You will get to know how they ended up on the streets, how they survived, and learn their street skills. Our guides will help you experience the real local insights and inspire you with their ghetto-energy.
More importantly, they will share with you how they were able to transcend their fate and become successful young adults, what they think about their former lifestyle and what they do today to improve the situation of their families and friends.
We will have max. two guests per guide to facilitate an inspiring exchange. Tasty local lunch at Kibanda (lunch is included).
