Overview
This tour begins at the UVA La Armonía and the Macromural Constelaciones, an artistic and community project that has transformed more than 500 homes through color and mural art. Each mural tells fragments of the history of the neighborhood and the people who live there.
Throughout the tour we will address issues that help to better understand the urban reality of Medellin, such as the social strata system, since the neighborhood we visit belongs to stratum 1, as well as the processes of internal migration and self-construction that have given rise to many of the popular neighborhoods of the city.
Walking through these streets allows us to discover the daily life of the popular neighborhoods of Medellín: how we arrived in this territory, how our houses were built, what we live on, where we work and where we study. You will also have the opportunity to get to know some local enterprises and get closer to the gastronomy of the neighborhood, an essential part of our cultural identity.
This tour is not only an artistic experience, but also an immersion in the history, resilience and community life of Comuna 3.
