Guatapé from Medellín: Alto del Chocho, Rock & Zócalos
Overview
Travel by shared tourist bus through the scenic landscapes of Eastern Antioquia to Alto del Chocho, where you will visit a traditional countryside farm, interact with its animals, and enjoy a light snack.
Continue to Piedra del Peñol, one of the region’s most famous landmarks. Admire the impressive views and, if you wish, climb the steps to the top. The entrance fee is not included.
Then head to Guatapé for a traditional lunch and free time to explore its colorful streets, admire the famous zócalos, visit the main square, browse local shops, and enjoy views of the reservoir.
Return to Medellín after a memorable day discovering Guatapé’s landscapes, flavors, and culture.

Go to Mall Gastroturístico Punto de Encuentro, located on Calle 9 in El Poblado, Medellín. Ask for the Guatapé Travel team and present your booking voucher.
Please arrive 15 minutes before departure. The transportation will leave promptly from the meeting point.
Things to note
The entrance fee to climb to the top of Piedra del Peñol is not included.
Climbing Piedra del Peñol is optional.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking.
We recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat or cap, and water.
Animal interaction is at the visitor’s own responsibility.
The experience takes place in shared tourist transportation and as part of a group.
