Medina Marrakech Shopping Tour
Overview
This activity includes:
- Leather souk
- souk haddadine
- Souk Des Epices
- Souk Semmarine
On arrival
We will meet at the iconic Café de France in Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Your guide will be waiting right outside the main entrance holding a sign or waiting by the main seating area. Café de France is easily accessible by taxi, and it serves as the perfect, unmistakable landmark right at the edge of the Medina before we head into the souks. If you are arriving by private car, the nearest drop-off points are Riad Zitoun or Koutoubia, both a short walk to the square.
Things to note
Comfortable Footwear: The Medina involves plenty of walking on uneven, stone-paved streets, so comfortable walking shoes or sneakers are highly recommended.
Cash is King: While some large carpet or leather shops accept credit cards, smaller local artisans and spice stalls only accept cash (Moroccan Dirham - MAD). We recommend bringing some cash along.
Dress Code: Out of respect for local culture, we recommend dressing modestly (shoulders and knees covered).
Fully Customizable: This is a personalized shopping experience. If you have a specific interest (such as tracking down a specific type of Berber rug, high-quality argan oil, or custom brass lamps), please let your guide know at the start of the tour so we can tailor the route to your exact needs!
