Overview
At the appointed time we will begin a guided walking tour of the historic center of Malaga, with a meeting point at the iconic Crystal Pyramid, a modern enclave that will serve as the beginning of a journey into the past.
We will walk up Alcazabilla Street to discover the Roman Theater, one of the most important archaeological remains of ancient Malaca, where we will learn about the origins of the city and its historical evolution.
The tour continues to the Alcazaba, the great Andalusian fortress known as the "Alhambra in miniature". Between walls and courtyards we will talk about the palace life, political intrigues and legends surrounding this monumental complex.
We will continue to the Plaza de la Merced, a key scene of contemporary history and the birthplace of Pablo Picasso. We will pass by the restaurant El Pimpi and visit the church of El Sagrario, and then arrive at the Plaza del Obispo and the Cathedral of Malaga, where we will learn the origin of its nickname, "La Manquita".
After about three hours, we will finish the visit in the heart of the city, understanding the transformation of Malaga over the centuries.
