On this free tour in Portuguese, we’ll walk through the heart of the Spanish capital and discover how a small village became one of Europe’s most important capitals.
Along the way, you’ll learn about the history of the Spanish monarchy, little-known facts that most tourists miss, legends, notable figures, and events that shaped Madrid.
During the tour, we’ll visit some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, such as:

On arrival
The meeting point will be at Puerta del Sol, next to the statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree. The guide will contact participants before the activity begins to provide the exact location, a photo of the meeting point, and a recent photo to make it easier to identify participants on site. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early.
Things to note
We recommend arriving at the meeting point 10 to 15 minutes early.
Wear comfortable shoes, as the tour takes place on foot through Madrid’s historic center.
On hot days, bring water, sunscreen, and a hat or cap.
During the winter, wear clothing suitable for cold temperatures.
The tour will take place even in light rain. On rainy days, we recommend bringing an umbrella or raincoat.
You may take photos throughout the tour, and there will be designated times for this.
Children are very welcome, and minors must be accompanied by a guardian.
Pets are welcome, provided they are under the owner’s supervision and do not disrupt the tour.
If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible to see if you can still join the group.
At the end of the tour, the guide will be available to answer questions and share recommendations on restaurants, museums, transportation, day trips, and other tips to help you enjoy your stay in Madrid even more.
