Overview
The tour will start in front of the ticket office of Nijo Castle, one of the most important palaces of the former capital of Japan. It is currently considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its Ninomaru Palace maintains the original construction of the Edo period, being one of the few surviving buildings of this period.
Then we will visit Kinkaku-ji, where we will find the Golden Pavilion, one of the most iconic postcards of the city, where we can enjoy the contrast between the golden tones of gold, and the nature of the garden that surrounds it. Did you know that near here there is a hill with a giant Kanji, which is set on fire in the month of August?
After this stop you will have time for lunch on your own.
The tour will continue to Ginkaku-ji, also known as the silver pavilion, famous for its Zen Gardens of silver sands.
The last stop of the tour will be in the Gion area, an area known as "the Geisha quarter", did you know that in Kyoto they refer to them as Geiko?
After approximately 8hrs the tour will end at the last point visited.
