During this walk through the heart of Hanoi, we’ll visit some of the city’s most iconic sites:
- Ngoc Son Temple: A temple located on Hoan Kiem Lake, where we’ll learn about the legends of Hanoi, Vietnamese spiritual beliefs, and the veneration of national heroes.
- Ba Kieu Temple: A temple associated with the worship of the Mother Goddesses, one of Vietnam’s most distinctive spiritual traditions.
- Monument to the Fallen for the Fatherland: Here we’ll discuss the modern history of Hanoi and the patriotic spirit of the Vietnamese people.
- Ta Hien Street: Hanoi’s famous “beer street.”
- Dong Xuan Market: As we stroll among its stalls, we’ll get a sense of Hanoi’s commercial life.
- Hàng Mã Street: The street famous for decorations, lanterns, and items used during traditional festivals.
- Ly Trieu Quoc Su Pagoda: A peaceful Buddhist place of worship in the heart of the city.
- St. Joseph’s Cathedral: A symbol of French influence in Hanoi, this neo-Gothic cathedral tells the story of the meeting between East and West and the history of the Vietnamese Catholic community.
- Egg coffee: We’ll wrap up the tour by sampling one of Hanoi’s most iconic specialties.

We'll be waiting for you in front of the entrance to the Ngoc Son Temple, near the benches. We'll be wearing yellow hats so you can easily recognize us.
