Overview of the tour in Guadalajara

Step inside Guadalajara and discover the incredible architecture that the city preserves, marvel at the impressive mural paintings that Guadalajara keeps in its buildings and discover why Mexican muralism is famous around the world.

We will begin our tour at the Museo de las Artes de la Universidad, to appreciate the early paintings and the beautiful French-style architecture of the building. Then we will head to one of the most beautiful temples in Guadalajara: the Templo Expiatorio, a unique neo-gothic temple in the city.

We will walk to the City Hall and then to the Government Palace, a colonial building of baroque style where we will appreciate some impressive paintings by Jose Clemente Orozco. We will visit the main theater of the city, the Degollado Theater, to admire its beautiful neoclassical architecture and enter to see the paintings inside.

We will walk through the beautiful alleys of Guadalajara to finish our tour in a beautiful place that is also a World Heritage Site: The Hospicio Cabañas, where we can appreciate some incredible paintings that will leave you with your mouth open. Join us and spend a day surrounded by art!

On arrival

I will be at the entrance of the Museo de las Artes de la Universidad (Museo MUSA) on Avenida Juarez. I will bring a gray umbrella.

We will walk about 2.5 km, as the buildings are a little separated from each other, so the walk is long.
Due to the time of day, please bring water and sun protection.
