Day 01: Fly from Dar es Salaam to Selous game reserve:
Fly from Dar es Salaam to the Selous game reserve and settle into the African safari lodge (flight not included). Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive today.
Day 02: morning and afternoon game drive:
Today join your experienced ranger guide for a full or half-day game drive through the selous. The itinerary and timing of your excursion are decided in the moment by each group depending on guests' wishes and recent animal movements. Drives often visit one or more of the region's lakes to see groups of animals drinking.
Day 03: walking safari and game drive.
Enjoy a morning walking tour with an armed ranger and continue for an afternoon game drive, exploring the far reaches of the Rufiji River's many lakes and tributaries on a boat safari. Visit numerous points and look out for the animals that make this river their home. End the day watching a magnificent sunset and paint the river in vibrant colors from your floating vantage point.
Day 04: Fly from Selous game reserve to Dar es Salaam.
Enjoy breakfast at the camp and then leave the Selous behind and fly back to Dar (flight not included).
