Special Tour of the Cordoba Courtyards Festival
Overview
For about two weeks, numerous courtyards of the different neighborhoods of Cordoba are decorated to win the prize for the most beautiful courtyard. A contest that has been held for more than a century and has become a deeply rooted and popular custom. We will go into the old Islamic suburb of the Axerquía, specifically in the neighborhoods of San Pedro, San Lorenzo and San Andrés, to learn even more about this tradition while visiting seven or eight of the most genuine courtyards of Cordoba.
We will learn how the passion for preserving this tradition is transmitted from generation to generation or the techniques used by the owners to care for and maintain the treasure of the patios, while enjoying a huge variety of plants, whitewashed walls and balconies decorated for the occasion.

On arrival
Meeting point: Plaza de la Corredera, outside the main door of the Mercado de la Corredera (clock building). Look for a teal umbrella/flag with the name of Paseando por Europa.
Things to note
- Please come 15 minutes in advance so that the tour can start on time.
- Our guides will be identified with "water green color" flags or umbrellas and the company logo: Paseando por Europa.
- Show the guide at the meeting point and the reservation confirmation email, either in print or by mobile phone or tablet.
