Cologne Mysteries and Legends Free Tour
Overview
We'll begin by talking about the lesser-known side of the cathedral, setting the tone of the tour nicely. From there we will enter corners linked to ancient trades, enigmatic figures and symbols that have accompanied the city for centuries, such as the historic Dombauhütte and the discreet but intriguing Petrusbrunnen.
The path will lead us to the old Rathaus, the city's town hall, where evil deals and sorcery will make us shudder. From there we will move on to a story of love and failure. Later, we will discover the dangers of a trade that is still very common today and how beer also has its dark side.
Before closing the tour at the Rheingarten, we will tell you the story of the Rhine mermaid, who will bid us farewell with a last legendary whisper. An itinerary full of atmospheres, curiosities and stories that invite you to look at Cologne with different eyes.
This activity includes:
- Rheingarten
- Dufthaus 4711
- Cologne Cathedral
On arrival
We are waiting for you at the bottom of the left side staircase of the Cologne Cathedral, coming out of the Central Station. You should be able to see in large letters the word "Hauptbahnhof" at the top of the glass wall.
Normally the guides wait very close to a bakery/cafeteria named Kamps.
We will be with a green and white umbrella, so you can't miss it. It is important not to get confused with the main entrance of the Cathedral.
Things to note
Attention Groups!
The tour is designed for small groups. Groups of 6 or more adults are requested to pay a contribution of 12 euros per person at the beginning of the tour, to guarantee the guide a decent income for his work. The same policy will apply if there are reservations with different names from the same group.
Free Cancellation
You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
