Overview of the tour in Budapest

Walk with me to learn about the dark years of Communism in Hungary. Have an insider to show you the secrets of the Reds in Budapest. Learn about the brave revolutionists and the martyrs of 1956, and the hard years of dictatorship. Discover the secret police activities and a secret bunker.

I am going to share my grandmother's stories, who lived through a century, and you can learn what it was like to go to a communist school.

The tour includes visiting the Soviet Memorial, the Retro Experience Museum, the Liberty Square monuments, the TV HQ, the communist Bunker, the 56 Memorial Exhibit.

Tour route is from St Stephen Basilica to Parliament so you will have the chance to visit the most beautiful attractions as well.

Your guide will be waiting for you at the front of the St Stephen Basilica stairs with a blue umbrella.

Things to note

The tour starts; let it rain or shine. Come 5 minutes earlier to register. It is an easy walk, but dress for the weather and bring some water, especially in summer. Your guide will give you tips for additional programs and restaurants. You can pay contributions in Cash HUF/ Eur/ USD or Paypal/ Revolut.
