Join me as we discover the Cotroceni neighborhood, one of the most beautiful and best preserved old neigborhoods of Bucharest.
It's a good tour to do if you have already seen the center of Bucharest and want to actually go deeper and see something else than Calea Victoriei and Old Town. Besides telling you the history of Cotroceni with each building or landmark we visit you will get a better representation of what Cotroceni meant in the history of Bucharest and how you can understand the history of this city just by visiting one neighborhood. This is because Cotroceni is well preserved and now it is living a resurgence with some events in the spring and in the fall.
The itinerary contains, but is not limited to: Faculty of Medicine, the Cotroceni Palace (outside only), the Steps of Happiness, the Gagel House, the "House with Lions" but we will see other interesting places along the way.

I will be in front of the faculty of medicine, just in front of the statue of Carol Davila. I will almost always have a backpack on me. The street is almost always empty, you will have no problem finding me. Check out the 2nd picture of the tour to see the statue.
