Overview

Do you want to learn about the times when Romania was a monarchy and how things changed during the communist era? The tour introduces you to the changes that have appeared in the country's history from the first kingdom on this territory - Dacia, conquered by Emperor Trajan- to post-communist Romania.

The tour is concentrated on Victory Avenue, the city's first main route since the 17th century, and you will be able to see Parisian-inspired buildings that showcase the Bohemian side of our city and explain why it was once called “the Little Paris”.

The tour begins in University Square, at the statue of the first man who dared to unify all the Romanian countries in 1600, fighting against the great powers, including the Ottoman Empire. We will then continue to see the Military Circle and Capsa, the oldest bakery in town, a former princely court now transformed into a theatre, the Telephone Palace - the first skyscraper of Bucharest, the Royal Palace - now the National Art Museum, and the Romanian Athenaeum.
