Transportation Options:
By Car: Take the Autopista Norte (North Highway) towards Chocontá. Follow signs for Laguna de Guatavita. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic.
By Bus: Head to the Portal del Norte bus terminal in Bogotá. Look for buses heading to Guatavita or Sopó. The bus ride takes about 1.5 hours.
Arrival in Guatavita: Once you reach Guatavita, look for signs directing you to the lagoon. There are local taxis available that can take you directly to the entrance.
Entrance to the Lagoon: The lagoon is located within a protected area, and entrance tickets can be purchased at the site. Make sure to arrive early to enjoy the scenery and take part in the guided tour.
