Overview
Free walking tour starting from the Plaza de Bolívar, the historical, cultural and political heart of Colombia, where we will talk about Colombian and Bogota's history, geography, and culture, surrounded by the national capitol, the Justice Palace, the Main Cathedral, and Bogota's city hall.
We will walk through Calle 10, full of colonial houses, amazing cathedrals and museums, to the Palacio San Carlos and the Colón Theatre. Then we will continue walking around the east of the neiborhood, stopping in front of the Museo Botero, the Iglesia de la Candelaria, and the Edificio Calle del Sol.
The tour ends in the Chorro de Quevedo, the birhtplace of the city, where we will learn about the chicha (traditional beverage) and, finally, the Plaza de Mercado de la Concordia, full of traditional restaurants, handicrafts and fruit shops.
