Overview of the tour in Bogota

Hello, we are Oaca, and we want to invite you to our Free Tour, this tour is the first tour you should do when you arrive to Bogotá because we offer you an extensive historical and cultural introduction of our beautiful city.

This tour will last approximately 3 hours. I know, It seems quite long, but we assure you that it will pass very quickly, however, if for any reason you have to leave early, you can do it, just let our guide know. On this tour you will walk through Candelaria, La Concordia and Las Aguas. During the tour we will talk about the beginnings of the capital, the indigenous tribe that inhabited Bogotá, the independence of Colombia, the most important events for the country as the Bogotazo and the violence in Colombia; we will talk about important people like Fernando Botero; besides knowing Colombian lives in Bogotá, art, gastronomy, architecture and different essential tricks for the stay in the capital.

*Remember that our tour is Tip Based. At the end, each person gives a monetary contribution according to the satisfaction of the tour.

On arrival

Please send us a message to confirming your attendance at least 6h before the tour. If for any reason you cannot attend, please cancel the tour at the end of the confirmation email, as the platform charges us a 2€ commission per person. Thank you for your help.

The meeting point is Bolivar square, in front of the church. You will recognize the guide because they will be holding a green umbrella that says Oaca Colombia.

Things to note

1. To participate in the tour it is necessary to book a spot, so we can assign a guide.
2. Once the reservation is made, look for our guide in front of the cathedral with a green umbrella that certifies him as a representative of Oaca Colombia.
3. This tour is panoramic, we do not enter any place.
4. At the end of the tour, you can book more experiences with us, just tell our guide which ones you want and he or she will give you all the information.
5. If for any reason you can not attend we recommend canceling the booking.
6. Children under 17 do not need a reservation, please do not reserve a place for them, they can attend without a problem, the only recommendation is children must come to the tour with an adult.
7. The tour will not be canceled due to bad weather, so we recommend bringing an umbrella.
8. Wear comfortable shoes to walk.
9. Go out from your place on time to the meeting point, as sometimes the trips in Bogota are 40min to 1h from points like Chapinero or 93. Check in advance how long it takes to get there.
