43 hectares of over 22,000 different plant species, gardens, green areas, meadows and woods makes the Berlin-Dahlem botanical gardens one of the most remarkable, important and largest botanical gardens in the world. It's an ideal place to visit to unwind from the hectic busy centre of Berlin and embrace exotic plants and flora from many far-flung corners of the planet. The museum is worthy of a visit in its own right too as it contains many unique plant-species normally difficult to view naturally as well as educational exhibits relating to the entire spectrum of botany. The gardens are open from 9am daily and the museum, costing €6 entry, from 10am.
