Free LGBT Bike Tour: Berlin Invents Homosexuality: Queer History
Overview
Along the way, we’ll encounter remarkable figures such as Magnus Hirschfeld, Dora Richter, Christopher Isherwood, Cläre Waldoff, Marlene Dietrich, and Anita Berber. Discover surprising stories, including how a police chief supported the gay community at the end of the 19th century and why Berlin "invented homosexuality". The tour includes a visit to the world's second-oldest still-operating gay bar, as well as the vibrant venue where women partied hard and searched for a companion for the night. Also, we won't miss the internationally renowned Club Eldorado on Motzstraße, where the tour concludes.
