Let’s dive into Belgrade’s story, over 2000 years in the making! Your journey begins on the lively Knez Mihailova Street, where we’ll kick off our walk through time. Then, we head to the ancient Kalemegdan Fortress, where past empires whisper from every stone. After that, a quick ride takes us across the Sava River into New Belgrade, where we’ll explore the bold, modern side of the city that rose during the socialist era.
Next stop: Zemun, a charming “town within a city,” with cobblestone streets, riverside views, and a peek into Serbian food culture at the colorful market. We’ll hike up to Gardoš Hill for stunning panoramic views of the area.
We’ll also stop by Dedinje to visit Tito’s House of Flowers and the Museum of History of Yugoslavia, where the legacy of the 20th century’s most iconic leader lives on. On the way, we’ll pass by the legendary Red Star stadium and make our way to the awe-inspiring Saint Sava Church, a true architectural gem.
