Beijing Tour: Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, & Hutongs
Overview
Your tour guide will fix the meeting time with you one day before and collect you at your hotel this morning. Then, we will drive you to the first stop: the Temple of Heaven.
9:00 - 11:00 Visit Temple of Heaven
The Temple of Heaven, listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site, was the imperial place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped Heaven and prayed for harvests.
11:00 - 13:30 Hutong Rickshaw Tour & Free Time for Lunch
After visiting the Temple of Heaven, we will leave for Hutong Alley. To explore the Hutongs deeply, we will arrange a special rickshaw ride for you. Afterwards, you will enjoy some free time there and have lunch on your own.
13:30 - 15:00 Visit Lama Temple
In the afternoon, we will head to visit the Lama Temple, an imperial Tibetan Buddhist temple. You will not only see the splendid royal buildings but also learn about the mysterious Tibetan religious culture from your guide.
15:00 - 17:30 Visit Summer Palace
Next, we are going to visit the Summer Palace, the best-preserved and largest-scaled imperial garden in China.
17:30 Hotel Drop-off
After all, your guide and driver will escort you back to the hotel.

On arrival
Pick-up Service: We offer free pick-up within the Third Ring Road of Beijing. Since Beijing is a vast city, to ensure a smooth and timely morning pick-up, we recommend choosing a centrally located downtown hotel.
If your hotel is outside our free pick-up range, you may need to pay an additional fee for extra-mile transfers or proceed to a designated meeting point. For any pick-up inquiries, your dedicated travel consultant is available to assist you at any time.
Things to note
Since the Temple of Heaven is closed on Mondays, this tour designer carefully chose to visit the Beihai Park instead of the Temple of Heaven if your travel date is a Monday.
Departures are guaranteed with even three persons.
Group Size: About 12 people. There are chances that 10% of the tour groups will exceed 12 people, but we will make proper arrangements.
A private tour will be offered exclusively for you if you have 9 people or more.
Public Holidays: Please aware there will be large crowds and heavy traffic in Chinese public holidays like May Day from May 1st to 5th and National Day from Oct 1st to 7th. We will do the best to arrange the tour.
