Beijing Highlights Great Wall & Forbidden City Tour
Overview
This morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby. We will first drive to Tiananmen Square. After about 30 minutes for photos, we will visit the Forbidden City, the largest royal palace complex in the world, rich in cultural and historical heritage. Then, we will take a 1.5-hour drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Lunch is on your own today (some fast food chains are available nearby, such as Burger King, Pizza Hut and Subway. Your guide will show you the locations. The Chinese buffet here is not recommended.) You’ll have at least 2.5 hours to explore the wall and capture great photos. Finally, we will transfer to the popular area of Houhai Lake and Tobacco Pipe Lane.
Day 2: Temple of Heaven, Hutong Alleys, Summer Palace
In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel to continue your Beijing group tour at the Temple of Heaven. Next, we will explore Beijing’s historic Hutongs. After lunch, you can stroll around Houhai Lake and explore the Hutong area further. In the afternoon, we will visit the Lama Temple and the Summer Palace. Afterward, you will be escorted back to your hotel.

Pick-up Service: We offer free pick-up within the Third Ring Road of Beijing. Since Beijing is a vast city, to ensure a smooth and timely morning pick-up, we recommend choosing a centrally located downtown hotel.
If your hotel is outside our free pick-up range, you may need to pay an additional fee for extra-mile transfers or proceed to a designated meeting point. For any pick-up inquiries, your dedicated travel consultant is available to assist you at any time.
Things to note
We offer free pick-up within the third ring road of the Beijing city. To ensure the morning pick-up going smoothly, we suggest you choose centrally located downtown hotels. If your hotel is beyond our free pick-up range, you may need to get to a meeting point or pay extra for the pick-up. Your travel consultant is ready to help.
Group Size: About 12 people. There are chances that 10% of the tour groups will exceed 12 people, but we will make proper arrangements. Important note: Entrance tickets of the Forbidden City are usually released online 7 days in advance and could be easily sold out. Kindly advise you to book the tour 8 days before since the ticket purchase is based on the real name policy. A private tour will be offered exclusively for you if you have 9 people or more.
Departures are guaranteed with two persons in Mar to Nov and three persons in Dec to Feb.
The itinerary schedule or sightseeing order may be adjusted according to the traffic on the tour day.
