Beijing Highlights Great Wall & Forbidden City Tour
Overview
This morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby. We will first drive to Tiananmen Square. After about 30 minutes for photos, we will visit the Forbidden City, the largest royal palace complex in the world, rich in cultural and historical heritage. Then, we will take a 1.5-hour drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall. A buffet lunch of authentic Chinese dishes with soft drinks will be served. The round-way cable car ride or chairlift, and toboggan going up and down are included. To relieve your fatigue from the hiking, we arrange a complimentary tea break for around 30 minutes before getting back. You will experience a Chinese tea ceremony to learn about tea cultures.
Day 2: Temple of Heaven, Hutong Alleys, Summer Palace
In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel to continue your Beijing group tour at the Temple of Heaven. Next, we will explore Beijing’s historic Hutongs. After lunch, you can stroll around Houhai Lake and explore the Hutong area further. In the afternoon, we will visit the Lama Temple and the Summer Palace. Afterward, you will be escorted back to your hotel.

Pick-up Service: We offer free pick-up within the Third Ring Road of Beijing. Since Beijing is a vast city, to ensure a smooth and timely morning pick-up, we recommend choosing a centrally located downtown hotel.
If your hotel is outside our free pick-up range, you may need to pay an additional fee for extra-mile transfers or proceed to a designated meeting point. For any pick-up inquiries, your dedicated travel consultant is available to assist you at any time.
Things to note
We offer free pick-up within the third ring road of the Beijing city. To ensure the morning pick-up going smoothly, we suggest you choose centrally located downtown hotels. If your hotel is beyond our free pick-up range, you may need to get to a meeting point or pay extra for the pick-up. Your travel consultant is ready to help. The visit to the Forbidden City does not include the Treasure Gallery, the Gallery of Timepieces, or any temporary exhibitions.
Group Size: About 12 people. There are chances that 10% of the tour groups will exceed 12 people, but we will make proper arrangements. Important note: Entrance tickets of the Forbidden City are usually released online 7 days in advance and could be easily sold out. Kindly advise you to book the tour 8 days before since the ticket purchase is based on the real name policy. A private tour will be offered exclusively for you if you have 9 people or more.
Departures are guaranteed with two persons in Mar to Nov and three persons in Dec to Feb.
The itinerary schedule or sightseeing order may be adjusted according to the traffic on the tour day. Notice for Toboggan: Children under 10 need to be escorted by an adult; travelers aged 60 and above, or those with hypertension or heart disease, are not permitted to take it.
Please carry your valid passport on the day of travel.
