Beijing: Great Wall, Forbidden City & Tiananmen Square
Overview
After a 1.5-hour drive, you will arrive at the Mutianyu Great Wall, the best-preserved and most popular section in China. The itinerary is designed to visit the Wall in the afternoon to avoid crowds, giving you 2 to 3 hours to explore and take memorable photos.
Finally, your guide will accompany you to the Houhai Lake area and Yandaixiejie Hutong. If you’d like, you can explore at your own pace and return to your hotel by taxi. Otherwise, your guide will escort you back to the hotel after dropping off other travelers.

On arrival
Pick-up Service: We offer free pick-up within the Third Ring Road of Beijing. Since Beijing is a vast city, to ensure a smooth and timely morning pick-up, we recommend choosing a centrally located downtown hotel.
If your hotel is outside our free pick-up range, you may need to pay an additional fee for extra-mile transfers or proceed to a designated meeting point. For any pick-up inquiries, your dedicated travel consultant is available to assist you at any time.
Things to note
Not wheelchair accessible.
Important note: Entrance tickets for the Forbidden City are usually released online seven days in advance and tend to sell out quickly. We recommend booking the tour at least eight days in advance, as ticket purchases follow a real-name policy. 100% No Shopping Stops Guarantee: Our tours do not include shopping stops. If an itinerary does not explicitly state "No Shopping Stops," it will include shopping visits, such as the Terracotta Warriors Factory or a tea ceremony. Even if shopping stops are not mentioned in misleading itineraries, they are often included. Always verify with the tour operator.
A private tour will be offered exclusively for you if you have 9 people or more.
Joining a shopping tour means less time at attractions and potential pressure to buy overpriced items. The so-called tea ceremony or Terracotta Warriors Factory is often a tourist trap, where travelers may spend over an hour for agents to earn commissions. To fully enjoy your experience, we recommend choosing a tour without shopping stops.
Group Size: Approximately 12 people. In rare cases (about 10% of tours), the group may slightly exceed this number, but we will ensure a smooth experience. Monday Itinerary Adjustment: Since the Forbidden City is closed on Mondays, we have carefully designed the tour to include a morning visit to the Summer Palace instead of Tiananmen Square & the Forbidden City when applicable. Guaranteed Departures: Tours operate with a minimum of three people. Travel Requirement: Please carry your valid passport on the day of travel. Public Holidays: Please aware there will be large crowds and heavy traffic in Chinese public holidays like May Day from May 1st to 5th and National Day from Oct 1st to 7th. We will do the best to arrange the tour.
