Guided by a professional Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) instructor, you'll learn about the history of bamboo weaving, its cultural significance, and the role of bamboo in Chinese daily life. Then you'll create your own beautiful bamboo weaving fan to take home. No previous experience is required, and beginners are warmly welcome.
Our workshop takes place inside MUJI Beijing Qianmen, in the heart of Beijing's historic center, just a short walk from Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Qianmen Street, and Dashilar. It's the perfect cultural activity to enjoy before or after exploring Beijing's most famous attractions.
After the workshop, continue your journey along Beijing's historic Central Axis, visit the magnificent Forbidden City, wander through the lively streets of Qianmen, and discover the traditional charm of Dashilar—all within easy walking distance.
