1. Double Fortress Gates & The Underground Hamam. The Entrance: Meet Nurana at the historic Gosha Gala Gates to discuss the ancient defensive walls.
The Descent: Step directly into the recently excavated 17th-Century Underground Hamam (Yeraltı Hamam) located right by the gates. Nurana will explain the subterranean engineering and the bathing rituals of Silk Road travelers.
2. Trade Markets & Historic Caravanserais. Walk past the traditional outdoor trade markets, vibrant with Azerbaijani carpets, copper lanterns, spices, and antique trinkets.
3. The Narrow Labyrinth & The Muqam Club. Dive deep into the narrow labyrinth of residential alleys. These winding, dead-end streets were purposefully designed to confuse invading armies. Emerge at the Mugam Club, a beautifully restored 16th-century caravansarai.
4. Architectural Icons:
Maiden Tower (Qız Qalası): View Baku’s most mysterious architectural symbol and hear the local legends surrounding its construction.
5. Shah Palace & The Royal Crest
Stop outside the Shah Palace.
