Overview

Explore the highlights of the Absheron Peninsula, from ancient rock carvings to natural wonders like mud volcanoes and fire landscapes. This tour brings together history, nature, and iconic sights in one unforgettable journey.

You’ll start in Gobustan, known for its ancient rock carvings. These petroglyphs are over 5,000 years old and show scenes of hunting, rituals, and everyday life - a simple but powerful look into how people lived here long before written history.

Next come the mud volcanoes. Azerbaijan has nearly half of the world’s total, and here you’ll see them up close. Thick grey mud slowly bubbles up from the ground, creating a strange, almost otherworldly landscape.

Then you head to Yanardag, the Burning Mountain. Natural gas seeps through the earth and burns continuously, forming a long wall of fire right on the hillside. No tricks - it just burns on its own.

One of other stops is the Ateshgah Fire Temple, once used by fire worshippers and traders traveling along the Silk Road. The site still carries a quiet, distinctive atmosphere tied to its past.

This tour brings together history, nature, and places that feel completely different from anything else around.
