Overview

Explore the wonders of Azerbaijan on this full-day Gobustan and Absheron tour from Baku. Begin with a visit to Gobustan National Park, where ancient petroglyphs carved into stone tell stories dating back over 10,000 years. Learn more at the interactive Gobustan Museum before heading to the surreal mud volcanoes, a rare sight found in a few places on Earth.

Later, travel to the Absheron Peninsula to witness Azerbaijan’s fiery legacy. Visit the Ateshgah Fire Temple, a sacred site once used by Zoroastrians and Indian fire-worshippers. Then see the natural flames of Yanar Dag, the famous Burning Mountain, where fire blazes from the ground without end.

This tour offers a perfect mix of ancient history, natural beauty, and mystical energy – ideal for curious minds and adventure seekers alike.

Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as some sites involve uneven terrain (especially near mud volcanoes).
Weather-appropriate clothing is advised. Summers can be hot, and it may be windy near Gobustan.
Bring water and sunscreen for comfort, especially in warm seasons.
The mud volcano area may require a short off-road drive; vehicles are provided and included in the tour.

The tour is suitable for children and seniors, but not recommended for people with mobility issues due to walking at open-air sites.
