Discover Azerbaijan: Authentic Local Tour with Mamed
Overview
From the Double Gates, we will walk through the main square toward the iconic Maiden Tower, the symbol of the Old City. From there, we will continue uphill to the magnificent Palace of the Shirvanshahs, one of Azerbaijan's most important historical monuments. After exploring the palace area, we will make our way back down to the Double Gates, completing a comfortable circular route.

On arrival
The meeting point is at the Double Gates (Qoşa Qala Qapıları), the main entrance to Baku Old City (Icherisheher). I will be waiting outside the gates with a visible guide badge or sign. The nearest metro station is Icherisheher, just a 3-minute walk away. Please arrive 10 minutes before the tour starts.
Things to note
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a bottle of water, especially during summer. The tour takes place in all weather conditions, so dress accordingly. Some streets in the Old City are paved with cobblestones. Feel free to ask questions during the tour—I will be happy to share local recommendations for restaurants, museums, and other places to visit in Baku.
