Baku Night Tour: Magical Old City Lanes
Overview
This tip-based night walking tour is less about lectures and more about feeling the city. Let the wind guide you — Baku earns its nickname "City of Winds" on evenings like this — as you move through medieval lanes, glittering boulevards, and hilltop viewpoints. Absorb the atmosphere, listen to the city breathe, and capture it through your lens.
Starting at the historic Double Gates, you'll pass through the UNESCO-listed Old City, the Maiden Tower, ancient caravanserais, and the Juma Mosque — stories shared, not lectured. From Nizami Street we descend to Baku Boulevard and the Caspian waterfront, then ride the Funicular up to Highland Park for the panoramic view of Baku's illuminated skyline. The route also passes the Carpet Museum, Philharmonic Garden, and Azneft Square — some of Baku's most photogenic night spots. Bring your camera.
The tour covers ~4.7 km on mostly flat terrain with a funicular ride included. Descent from Highland Park by stairs(~1100 steps) or taxi depending on your group.
