The tour explores how the Asia Minor Catastrophe Greeks survived in Athens when they left Turkey in the neighborhood of Nea Ionia that has been called "The Manchester of Athens ". You will get to know their lifestyle, their religious icons, their occupation with carpet making. We will visit a museum of a former carpet industry, stone buildings of the previous century, churches with exceptional icons and a museum with things they used in their everyday life, archives, photographs atc. We will end our tour tasting their dishes in a tavern.
