Half Day Athens Sightseeing Tour with Acropolis Museum
Overview of the tour in Athens
Our guide will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times took place in 1896 (short stop).
We continue and pass by the Prime Minister’s residence (ex Royal Palace) that is guarded by the Euzones in their colorful uniform.
During our tour we will also admire Athen’s most important monuments: the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the memorial of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma).
On the archeological site of Acropolis, a UNESCO’s World Heritage monument we visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally the monument that “puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon.
The last stop of this Athens Sightseeing Tour is the new Acropolis museum. We continue with a pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysus Theater in order to visit the Acropolis Museum.
