Overview
Discover Athens on a walk that blends culture, faith, and legend. Starting from the heart of the city, before the National Library, the Capodistrian University, and the Academy, symbols of Greece’s modern rebirth and guardians of ancient wisdom, we’ll immerse ourselves in the myths of the city of the gods, surrounded by statues of philosophers and echoes of immortals.
Our journey continues through the diverse spirits of Christianity: the solemn Catholic Cathedral, the Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas in Pefkakia with its ties to the sea and sailors, and the Evangelical Church, a testament to the city’s religious plurality. Climbing toward Lycabettus, the Open Air Theater will unveil the timeless magic of performances beneath the stars, recalling the ancient cult of Dionysus.
Finally, our walk culminates at the sacred hill of Lycabettus, said to have been formed from a rock dropped by Athena herself. From here, myth and reality merge in a breathtaking panorama, where the Acropolis, the sea, and the mountains meet in a view that unites history, mystery, and timeless beauty.
