On arrival

Begin your Athens walking tour at our meeting point, where our official licensed guide will be waiting for you. Then, delve further into historical Athens. Wander along the charming alleys and appreciate the elegant architecture and sites along pedestrian Dionysiou Areopagitou Street around the slopes of the sacred hill.

We will head for the south slope of the hill to bypass the main crowds and enter the archeological site without delays. Along the way, we will visit the Theatre of Dionysus, a 5th-century amphitheater that is referred to as the birthplace of the performing arts.

Later on, we will make a brief stop at the Dionysus Sanctuary, dedicated to the Greek god of wine and fertility. On our way to the Acropolis, we will encounter the main sights, such as the Propylaea gateway, Erechtheion, Temple of Athena Nike, and Parthenon.

Now it’s time to capture all of these fascinating ruins and learn their history from our guide. Once at the top of the sacred hill, we will be able to marvel at the full panorama of Athens. At the same time, you will learn about the excavations, and the surrounding monuments, such as Mars Hill and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.

At the end of your tour, there will be free time for you to keep exploring the site on your own.
