Acropolis and Ancient Athens Tour
Overview
See the temple of the Parthenon and the Propylaea. Visit the Theater of Dionysus. Marvel at the Erechtheum and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. Take a look at the stone carvings of the Caryatids and the Temple of Athena Nike. After the guided tour of the Acropolis, you'll have free time to take all the photos you want before starting the second part of our visit.
Then we will meet in the Gate of Athena Archegetis to visit the exterior of the Roman Agora, Library of Hadrian, Ancient Agora, Hadrian's Arch, and Temple of Zeus. We'll talk about history, mythology, and endless curiosities about its ancient culture and society.

On arrival
The first meeting point is the Acropolis Metro. Please be there 10 minutes before our tour starts.
The second meeting point is in front of the Athena Gate, which is the entrance to the Roman Agora.
- For the low season, for the tour that starts at 09:30, the second meeting point is at 12:05.
- For the high season, for the tour that starts at 08:45, the second meeting point is at 11:20, and for the tour that starts at 09:45, the second meeting point is at 11:50.
Tickets to the Acropolis must be purchased before the activity starts. For this activity, you need to buy the following tickets:
For the low season:
- For the morning tour at 09:30, you'll have to buy the ticket for the time slot 09:00-10:00,
For the high season:
- For the morning tour at 08:45, you'll have to buy the ticket for the time slot 09:00-10:00.
- For the morning tour at 09:45, you'll have to buy the ticket for the time slot 10:00-11:00.
We are not going to enter to other archaeological sites, so you won't need other tickets.
We recommend that you buy the tickets online beforehand. If you have not purchased your ticket, you have to go to the ticket office area of the South entrance around 30 minutes before the tour time so that you have time to buy them while waiting in line. Once they give you the tickets, you have to go to the meeting point that is less than a 2-minute walk from the ticket office.
Note: If you can't get the ticket online because there is no availability, we can help you.
Things to note
- As the route is not adapted, child strollers will not be able to access the tour either.
- It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and water.
- Inside the archaeological sites is not allow to eat or smoke. Only water is allowed as drink.
- Does not include the entrance. The ticket must be bought previously by the visitor.
- Does not include personal expenses.
