Acropolis + Ancient Athens Tour

Overview of the tour in Athens

Our tour will start at 8:15 am visiting the Acropolis and it'll start from the South slope, avoiding the main entrance that is always more crowded. Our licensed tour guide will explain the most interesting legends of the archaeological site while we're visiting all the monuments.

See the temple of the Parthenon and the Propylaea. Visit the Theater of Dionysus. Marvel at the Erechtheum and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. Take a look at the stone carvings of the Caryatids and the Temple of Athena Nike. After the guided tour of the Acropolis, you'll have free time to take all the photos you want before starting the second part of our visit.

At 11:00 am we will meet in the Gate of Athena Archegetis to visit the interior of the Roman Agora and Library of Hadrian and the exterior of the Ancient Agora, Hadrian's Arch, and Temple of Zeus. We'll talk about history, mythology, and endless curiosities about its ancient culture and society.

Note: Tickets to the archaeological sites that are visited are not included and must be previously purchased by the client. To get them, in high season (from April to October) we recommend you buy the combined ticket that offers a great discount.

On arrival

Please be at the meeting point Acropolis Metro, 10 minutes before our tour starts, at 8:05.

Tickets to the site must be purchased before the activity starts. For this activity, you need to buy the following tickets:

- Acropolis 8:00-9:00
- Roman Agora 10:00-12:00
- Hadrian´s Library 12:00-14:00

You must select the Acropolis and Slopes option, select the date and time 8:00-9:00. You will then be able to select the type of ticket you want and the quantity. We recommend that you take the combined ticket because it will be better economically for you to enter several venues in this activity. It is very important that you know that the time you will select when purchasing it will be the time you have to enter the Acropolis, and from that moment on you will have 5 days to enter the rest of the monuments without time restrictions.

If you do not have your ticket purchased, you have to go to the ticket office area of the South entrance around 30 minutes before the tour time so that you have time to buy them while waiting in line. Once they give you the tickets, you have to go to the meeting point that is less than 2 minutes walk from the ticket office.

Things to note

- As the route is not adapted, child strollers will not be able to access the tour either.
- It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and water.
- Inside the archaeological sites is not allow to eat or smoke. Only water is allowed as drink.
- Does not include the entrance. The ticket must be bought previously by the visitor.
- Does not include personal expenses.
