Mysteries of Aswan Tour: From Philae to the High Dam
Overview
The High Dam is a massive dam in Egypt that was constructed in southern Aswan, Egypt with the help of the Soviet Union. The height of the dam creates the ability to store an additional 8 billion cubic meters of water, which is used for land reclamation for agricultural purposes and the alteration of agricultural irrigation into permanent irrigation. Gamal Abdel Nasser laid the dam's foundation stone on January 9, 1960, and Egypt was celebrant while it was in the process of implementation in January 1971.
